Pavel Gundorin Biography

A healthy lifestyle should become a habit of a healthy lifestyle should become a habit of “fitness helps a person to be alone with his thoughts, load the body, freeing his head,” says Pavel Gundorin sports gymnastics. Pavel Gundorin, master of sports in gymnastics. A multiple winner and winner of the championships and Cups of Russia and Moscow. The winner in the nomination "Best Coach" Crocus Fitness Awards.

Certified TRX coach. Presenter of Russian and international fitness conventions. In an exclusive interview, we talked with Pavel Gundorin on how to take the first step to a healthy lifestyle. Perfect training: alone or in the company? This question, rather, is associated with human psychology: he is an introvert or an extrovert. Personally, I do not like large clusters of people, for example, therefore, it is almost impossible to drag me into a nightclub!

And I like to train more alone: I turn on music and fully concentrate on myself and on the exercises that I do. But there are people who need a company to motivate and support each other, perhaps even arrange mini-reward. Everyone chooses for himself, repulsive from his own sensations and needs, the main thing is that a person is comfortable. Where to start fitness classes?

To engage in fitness, because you learned from Instagram that this is fashionable - an inexpensive path. It is necessary to determine for yourself why you need a sport and, depending on this, choose an activity of activity. If he chooses martial arts, then he has completely different goals. Perhaps at this stage, a person generally shows only stretching or Pilates in order to prepare for further work with the body, that is, lay the foundation, which will further become the main “house”.

The best coach is who he is? The client who comes to class is a clean sheet. And for him, the coach should be primarily an athlete. But considering the issue from the perspective of experience, I can say that the fitness trainer, who was a professional athlete in the past, should forget almost everything that he was taught. Because sport is not equal to health.

And many exercises that professional athletes perform are often behind the facet of health: the joints find themselves in an unnatural position and sometimes experience the wrong load. Of course, if I want to engage in boxing, I will begin to look for a professional sportsman-athlete who has studied since childhood and can tell me how to use this energy to learn this in a year or two. But if you need a coach who will help me bring himself in a good form and improve the body, then he does not have to have a professional sports past-knowledge in the field of biomechanics, anatomy, and physiology, which the profile sportsmen, by the way, may not be!

Perhaps this is my subjective position, but I spent 16 years in professional sports and I know exactly what I'm talking about. Do you need a diet? I would not use the word “diet”, because this is rather a medical term that refers to people with health problems. It is better to adhere to the concept of “healthy nutrition”. Of course, as part of training, I give a person the simplest recommendations.

For example, I always ask him to keep a food diary for at least two weeks and record the products that he consumes. So, you can find out if there is something unnecessary in its diet, which components should be added, and the time for receiving which products is better to change for example, to eat them not in the evening, but in the morning. But the main thing is that a person must understand: “losing weight” does not mean “not to eat after 6”.

This approach does not work. It is necessary to create a calorie deficit, and this is a very individual process, which largely depends on the level of activity of a particular person. It will be enough for one to eat kilocalories per day, and for the other the norm is kilocalories.

Pavel Gundorin Biography

This is a topic for a separate big lecture. In general, I am a supporter of the fact that on nutrition, people turn to a nutritionist who understands the processes of forming the right food habits. Most often, I send my customers to test, which helps to determine the fat and muscle weight of the body, as well as the water balance in the body. After that, we can talk about the development of an effective weight loss program.

But we most often go to the hall to lose weight ... ... yes, and lose weight at all costs. And we are absolutely not concerned about the state of the body. This is an illusion that you can urgently lose weight by a certain number of kilograms - in a couple of months they will come back and bring “friends” with them, which will be more difficult to get rid of it.

In fact, losing weight is a complex, long, sometimes tangible and unpleasant process that needs to be ground. When we start working on the body together with the client, I never promise him that in a week he will lose 10 kilograms: 1, it goes only to gain the necessary form, from which you can set goals in the future. If a person wants to seriously deal with this issue, he can also independently master some basics that will help him achieve the desired result.

For example, it is useful to get acquainted with the book “Anatomical Trains” of the manual therapist Thomas Mayers. In it, he represents his concept and offers to consider all the muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia of the body as a single “myo-fascial” system. How to motivate yourself with the advent of spring? I think that with the onset of the first warm days, it is worth increasing the number of walks and raising the level of activity.

It is not even necessary to immediately run to the fitness club-it is enough to use the possibilities that are at hand: the bars for push-ups in the courtyard, the embankment for jogging and walking, the staircase in the entrance ... In my opinion, it is wrong to confuse the so-called “first step” to beauty to the arrival of spring or season of vacations-a healthy lifestyle should become a habit.

Gathering a form in a week or two is a huge stress for the body, which is fraught with health problems. It is important to bring the body to normal systematically. At the first stage, you do not need to immediately set yourself a goal to run a half marathon, if before that you were sitting on the couch for six months. Such a global task, which a person cannot achieve due to the lack of training, seriously demotivates.

Let the first goal be, for example, run a kilometer. And then move from simple to complex, gradually, forming the right habits. Then fitness classes will become a natural process for you, which you will not want to refuse. And after months you will not only feel better, but also see changes in the mirror. If you sit still and wait for you to become beautiful and fit - nothing will happen.

I recommend people to move as much as possible! Unfortunately, there is no universal pill that can make a person happy, physically developed and successful - this is a long way, but it begins with the first step.
