Igor Zenin Biography

Igor Anatolyevich is difficult to find in the director's office. He is always among people, in the thick of events. Just look at one of his days before the anniversary of the eyes of employees. In the morning he is in the concert department: he personally clarifies that with the organization of events, posters, advancement ... He manages to discuss details for New Year's ideas with all the directors and leaders of collectives.

And, of course, rehearsals of fairy tales and shows do not do without his participation. The last of them ends at about nine o’clock in the evening. And in the morning of the next day, Igor Anatolyevich can again be seen in the corridors and offices of the SCKIA with employees and artists. You probably have already imagined a purely creative person far from managerial hardships.

Somewhere between the floors of the huge center of the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts, he is “caught” by a lawyer, then a secretary, then economists: it is necessary to solve everyday economic issues that are full of the life of a major cultural institution. And every time he delves into them, understands, in a word, holds his hand on the pulse in all the variety of his life.

In the distant year, Igor Zenin, who had previously served as an artist of the song and dance ensemble of the Black Sea Fleet, decided to create a new professional team of the same profile - the Black Sea. He was supported by his wife - Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine Tatyana Zenina, at one time she was even the director of the team. At first, the team was mixed: vocals, and an orchestra, and dancers.

But the repertoire was mainly limited to the naval theme and folklore. The ensemble quickly gained popularity and began to tour, including abroad. But Igor Zenin’s indomitable desire to improve it led to the fact that the “Black Sea” has become the way they love and appreciate it now. It was Zenin who decided to concentrate exclusively on the dance, but rely on the diversity in the genres.

Today in the repertoire is the whole spectrum of modern choreography. And concert programs turned into a holistic show, where each element is the skill of directors and performers, costumes, sound, light - high class. In order to raise their staff, already in the year a choreographic studio “Black Sea” is being created, which today proudly wears the title of “exemplary”.

One of its first graduates is Vasily Kovalsky - now Honored Artist of Ukraine and the Republic of Crimea, head of the Black Sea state dance ensemble. And the troublesome choreographic studio “Black Sea”, where a person has been studying near a person, has been engaged in the faithful associate of his father - Honored Worker of Culture of the city of Sevastopol, Anna Kovalskaya Zenina has been studying for many years now.

And in this post, he professes the same principles: to constantly develop, maintain initiatives, generate non -standard projects. And it is with him that those who follow the same rules are triggered. They are not afraid of bold experiments here. Let us recall that for the first time in Sevastopol International Dance Day was celebrated almost a quarter of a century ago in the SCKIA, and this holiday became a good city tradition, like magnificent large -scale shows by March 8 and the New Year.

And what fairy tales they put here! Who else has New Year's performances are successfully shown throughout the year? Only in the SCKI! From fresh projects, we note the sensational Crimea “Classics of Rock” - a show that has been collecting a full house for two years now. And what success was expected by the project “Living Music Lesson in your school”!

Initially, it was planned for concerts per year, and as a result they gave 30 in 1.5 years. Of course, this is the efforts and enthusiasm of many people. In total, today in the Sevastopol Center for Culture and Arts of 4 professional teams and 34 club formations, many of which were born with the support of the director of the SCKI. And each of them has the opportunity for growth and development.

There would be a desire. And Igor Anatolyevich Zenin will always help those who are ready to work for the sake of success.
