He speaks in a simple and understandable language and often logically and in philosophical beautifully, easily reveals the essence of the complex, at first glance, problems of military history, willingly shares life and combat experience.

And telling the front -line soldier there is something, because in his biography there are many glorious and significant pages. During the imperialist war, the father was on the German front, during the civilian - in units of the Red Army. In the year, the Lebedev family overtook new harsh trials: a terrible hunger began in the Volga region due to drought. Father sold property, gathered a simple belongings, and the family in the Van’s hidden by the oxen moved into full anxiety and deprivation, into the unknown.

The path of refugees, looking for a better share, ran through Voronezh and Poltava. Once, when the bandits robbed them, five -year -old Ivan showed remarkable courage, trying to protect the most valuable family at that time - a sewing machine. He easily dismissed the child, but appreciated his courage and left his family alone, and this machine later saved the Lebedevs from starvation more than once.

However, in the year, the father, brother and sister of Ivan died in a foreign land. The survivors decided to go back. The road home took several months spent in commodity wagons and at railway stations, often spent the night in the open air. And in his native Danilovka it was necessary to start life again, and the young Ivan, as he could, helped his mother, from an early age grew in heavy work.

Such was the harsh childhood of the future hero, so the steel rod of his character was tempered, and stubborned with perseverance, responsibility, justice and hard work. I believe that parents should educate their children in work since childhood. I started working at seven and I don’t regret it at all ... Being a teenager, Ivan worked on a collective farm along with adults.

Nevertheless, having only five classes of a rural school behind him, he managed to prepare well and enter the Balashov College of Agro -chemistry and soil science. He adequately served her in the border troops in Turkmenistan, Karakum sands. The bosses quickly noticed a commander’s vein with an intelligent and responsible guy. Soon, Ivan was appointed to the post of assistant platoon commander, and then - and the acting of the political officer of the outpost.

Later he was aimed at the courses of the junior political officers of the reserve, at the end of the service he was awarded the first officer rank. Having served three years, on December 30, Ivan Lebedev returned to peaceful work in the rural field. But the war soon struck. Ivan Danilovich, as a district agronomist of the machine-tractor station, worked in the fields and recognized about its beginning only on the evening of June 22.

The next day, he left the army and was soon sent to the Leningrad Front. But the military leadership was not fully represented what this war would be. In addition, many of us met her only with a three-line rifle ... The officer recovered and returned to duty. But we gradually learned to violate the enemy’s slender plans and intercepted the initiative with combat experience and military cunning. And the Germans immediately turned into a confused mass, then we beat them and won them. He was known as a fair and demanding officer.Being a political worker, Ivan Lebedev repeatedly commanded his subordinates in battle: he raised him on the attack, reflected the enemy’s tank blows with his artillery division, captured bridgeheads, took prisoners.

Acting boldly and decisively, he set a personal example of courage, courage, combat training, skill in the entrusted weapons and equipment. So, in November, when the commander was wounded, the guard, Captain Ivan Lebedev, took command of the personnel of the artillery division on himself and successfully completed an important combat mission. Having knocked out the enemy from trenches on the opposite shore with a well -aimed artillery fire, his subordinates force along with the Dnieper infantry in the area of ​​the village of Polylochna now - the Svetlogorskskoye of the Poltava region and skillfully disguised the materiel.

Then the division, steadily holding the captured bridgehead, repulsed the enemy’s powerful tank counterattack, and then an officer with several fighters destroyed three enemy tanks breaking into the rear and near the platoon of machine gunners, quickly deploying one of the few guns that had survived in that terrible battle. The surviving calculation numbers along with the infantry reflected the enemy.

In the rifle regiment with which the gunners fought, only six people remained in service, but the bridgehead remained with the Soviet fighters. More than once until the end of the war, the officer distinguished himself during the hostilities, for which he was awarded the orders of the Patriotic War of the I and II degree. Homeland also noted his merits by the Order of the Red Star, medals “For Military Merit”, “For the Victory over Germany”, “For the Liberation of Bulgaria”, “For the Defense of Leningrad” and many others.

According to his awards, you can trace the hero’s combat path: Ivan Danilovich freed Ukraine, Moldova, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Hungary, and met the victory in Austria, under the city of Graz.

I remembered the story of Ivan Danilovich about his participation in this legendary event. The standard of the front, which he was entrusted with carrying at the parade, was large enough and completely obscured the guardsman, who held him in his right hand. He was not at a loss and wrapped the left edge of the panel on his right shoulder. As a result, he was able to observe what was happening then on Red Square, and the people saw their defender.

His example was followed by officers who carried the standards of other fronts, and now we can, thanks to Ivan Danilovich, see their courageous faces in numerous photographs and in the newsreel. In the post -war years, Ivan Lebedev passed three more times a solemn march along Red Square, and in the year, along with other veterans, he took part in the anniversary of Victory in Moscow.

In the year, Ivan Danilovich graduated from the Military Academy named after M. Frunze, served at the headquarters of the Belarusian military district, then for more than ten years he was the military commissar of the Grodno Regional Military Commissariat. Having gone into the reserve, for many years he headed the personnel department of the Grodno State University. The hero’s wife, Anna Nikolaevna, is also a war veteran, a participant in the Battle of Stalingrad and many other victorious battles.

Being a nurse, she saved many fighters and officers. With Anna Nikolaevna Ivan Danilovich, the soul has been living in the soul for 68 years, the couple raised two sons, and now they are pleased with their grandchildren and great -grandchildren. Despite the venerable age, the veteran remains “on the advanced” socio-political life of the country. Ivan Danilovich is an honorary citizen of the city of Grodno, an honorary border guard of the Republic of Belarus, a member of the Presidium of the Grodno Regional Council of Veterans.

Until recently, while health allowed, he was a frequent guest in educational institutions, in the troops, as well as at the Military Faculty at the Yanka Kupala Grodno State University, took part in garrison civil-patriotic events. Now he meets with the military and pre -conscripts of the house and continues to tell the young generation the truth about the war and the great victory, to which he made a personal and significant contribution.
