Augustine Affected biography
He showed the participants of the XIII Orthodox Kornilievsky educational readings to occupy with high school students on the topic: “Christian understanding of the cinema” and told the Blagovet-Info about his teaching practice. Tell us how it all started. At some point, I realized that I could do little one: there are four schools in Pechora now, and at that time there were five. I realized that I can cover only a very small part of the children, and something needs to be done with this.
Then I began to collect teachers and conduct classes with them on the basics of Orthodoxy. About 40 teachers went to these classes on Wednesdays for three years. The backbone of the Pechora teachers was formed, who still work, and in their lessons in basic disciplines try to instill in children Christian values. After all, you can do this in different ways: teaching mathematics, stop and tell the story with some kind of aftertaste for the child.
Classes with teachers served as a good start. Still, I believe that the priest should not go to school. Let everyone do their own business. It is simply necessary, on the one hand, to somehow work with teachers, and on the other hand, someone should develop an additional education of schoolchildren. In my opinion, a more promising thing in terms of enlightenment of children is not “Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture” at school, but additional education: circles, sections, children's movements, and especially - camps, campaigns, because children really like it.
The problem is that people who could work professionally with adolescents and at the same time to convey something important to them, very little. For example, there are many carpenters and carpenters who could open a children's carpentry workshop, but a set of necessary conditions - so that the leader of the circle was Orthodox, knew how to interest him not to annoy anything in children - this is a rarity.
In any case, it seems to me that to engage in additional education: camps, sections is a promising business, but for some reason they almost do not talk about it. Everyone rushed to the "Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture." How this subject will be taught, what to consist is actually controversial things. In Pechora, a special situation is a monastery and, as a result, more church people.
And what will happen in other large and small cities is completely incomprehensible. Therefore, it seems to me that you do not need to completely rush to the defense industry: yes, they introduced it, and, probably, it will not be worse. There is a higher will, church and state - let it exist. But there is no need to think that with the introduction of the defense industry, everything will work out at once, children and adults will become better.
There will be none of this. It is necessary to look for some ways, forms, methods on a par with the OPC in order to attract children to a normal lifestyle. We lose to television, poor cinema, bad music, street, stereotypes that are imposed on children. And you need to fight and win. The church has all the means for this, they just need to be conveyed to the child. Among them are not all church ones.
We do not set such a task that the child becomes church. We have children of Muslims, there are few of them - it happens and we don’t drive anyone away. The child wants to walk - let him go. But at the same time, it seems to me that we are trying to create an atmosphere in which a teenager could join faith.
We have wonderful teachers, and therefore parents, even not church ones, just only welcome our activities. There were practically no cases when they would be against it. Because they see the result: the child is constantly involved somewhere, he works, studies something. Plus children's camps - we have all this for free, the monastery carries expenses. The entire program is compiled at the beginning of the year after about a month of communication with a specific class - I only teach high school students.
The guys come, I begin to communicate with them, in a month I throw a plan. There is no coercion to classes. For many years in a row I had a zero lesson, at eight in the morning on Monday. Frost is not frost, children come. It was amazing for me. Is this somehow connected with your personal preferences? To go not from what is interesting to you, but from the concept of “target audience”.
It is worthwhile to figure out how children think, which is important to them at a certain age. At one time, cinema played a fairly large role in my life, and I still love this type of art. I studied at the Voronezh Theater University at the Faculty of Acting, but gradually came to church and entered the seminary. Irina Stovbyra talked a certificate. Hegumen Augustine Besarny Andrei Aleksandrovich was born in Minusinsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory.
He graduated from the Voronezh State Institute of Arts and entered the Leningrad Theological Seminary. In the city of the editor -in -chief of the educational portal "Word" and the magazine for parents "Grapes". I was a volunteer on the project "Heritage". Father Augustine held interesting conversations about art, about cinema. He said that there is a list of the best films that cannot but watch.
