Timo Parved biography
The swing of Timo Parveli is a Finnish writer and a hereditary teacher, the author of more than fifty books mainly addressed to children. For several years he worked in elementary school. In Russian, his series about the little schoolgirl Ella “Bibliyd” about her already wrote books about her faithful friends: Kota Musavka and dog Tyavka received special fame. Bear Teddy Bor is very fond of playing on balancing swings.
How great it is to take off up, then fall down, and then take off again! But, unfortunately, it is impossible to swing if there is no one at the other end. Bor patiently waits for who can make him a company. He is even afraid to leave the swing-suddenly at that moment someone will appear, and the swing will be empty? And what to talk about with a stranger? How to ask him to start stronger or quieter, because the bear does not even know whether the game comrade will be heavier or easier than him ...
Timo parlor. A lone spruce, unexpectedly falling to the other end of the swing, sends the hero into an exciting flight. In this distant journey through the vast sky, river, forest, lake, fields, the baby meets a variety of creatures and tries to find a friend among them. Heavenly luminaries, giants, mysterious churays, rustling, Unni - with everyone, the teddy bear is trying to play and talk.
With someone he manages to make contact and even make friends, but they, unfortunately, cannot draw up a company of Bor. The sad and pacified, friendly and not very, dangerous and harmless - they all leave a mark in the soul of the hero, but do not dispel his loneliness. First, they scare each other, then quarrel and diverge tightly, and then together fall into a trap. Curiosity and general trouble bring the kids closer, and they still get to know each other.
The unexpected witty “revelation” of the author upside down the plot of this deep and kind philosophical history about sad and incredible strength of friendship, creative imagination and attention to the neighbor. A description of friendly creatures, about the bird nature of which can be guessed by individual signs, also refers to literary techniques characteristic of this Finnish writer.
The little lonely hero also manages to make notes in his notebook.
These short phrases seem to relate precisely to his thoughts about the swing, but their unexpected philosophical depth helps the reader understand that Timo parlor actually speaks of many situations of adulthood.
