Only what brings you true pleasure can ultimately bring welfare. Nathan Schwartz was born in Ukraine, in Odessa, in a family of hereditary shoemakers. In the year, Nathan Schwartz finally registered the Timberland brand, and in the year renamed his shoe factory officially in Timberland and CO.

In the year, the enterprise, which turned into a concern, was headed by the son of Nathan, Sydney Schwartz. With his arrival, the company expanded its interests not only for shoes, but also on clothes, releasing the first collection of clothes for relaxation, sports and tourism.
