Boris Kulagin Biography

I am 58 years old. Travel from childhood. He went on mountain campaigns, rafting and catamarans along the mountain rivers, made topographic shooting in the caves of the Pamirs and the Caucasus, drove tens of thousands of kilometers on the road on the roads of Russia and Europe. For the past nine years, I have been traveling professionally - I have been driving small groups in my favorite places that inspire me and, I hope that my fellow travelers.

Every year I try to open new directions.

Often this happens at the request of those who have already traveled with me. I always develop routes on my own: I carefully select attractions, local guides, look for comfortable housing and rent transport, make a program and calculate the budget. I try that every trip is like a good performance: a tie, climax and a denouement. I am always very happy when it turns out to be surprised.

The main format of most of my travels is combined: movement by car and several pedestrian routes. The goal, of course, is to see as much as possible. Moving along the route, we often stop. I try to have time to breathe, feel, try, watch, and just hang in some beautiful place. Nature is perhaps the main component of my routes. Therefore, most of them are laid on picturesque roads with maximum coverage of natural attractions.

In addition to the contemplative part, I carefully prepare the cognitive: I am looking for the necessary information, make notes and "pack" the acquired knowledge in short and understandable stories. I often turn to local guides, which I carefully select. Another important part of my travels is communication. I try to collect interesting, positive and close to me in spirit.

Often my fellow travelers after the trip become friends. What else to tell about yourself? I try to be active and “not to dry”: I ride mountain skiing, videos, bicycle, I drive a sail, I walk around the mountains. I tried a lot of interesting things in my life: I studied permafrost, searched for gold, mapped Venus, worked as an editor in newspapers and magazines for 20 years.
