Win Vitaly Biography
World Sambo Champion Vitaly Win: “I came to Sambo at ten years old with a diagnosis of cerebral palsy” on June 25, in childhood, Vitaly Win was diagnosed - children's cerebral paralysis. At 10, he came to the fight, and after a while the doctors refused to confirm his third disability group. Now Vitaliy is the world champion in sambo, two -time champion of Russia. In this interview, he talked about how a person with cerebral palsy began to engage in self -defense without weapons, and then became a politician.
Dad began to train in his youth, he was engaged in martial arts enthusiastically, but he told me. We constantly fought at home, he wanted me to be able to stand up for myself. For children with disabilities, there were two detachments: mine - the fourth, and the fifth. The rest of the detachments are for ordinary children, among whom were samboists. Once they arranged a demonstration, began to invite those who wanted to compete with the athletes of the section.
I volunteered first and ... won. He did not attach any values to this: he decided that the accident, but not everyone thought so. After this fight, samboists approached me and invited me to study in the hall, said that there were abilities. Then I dismissed, and when I went home to Gorno-Altaysk, I completely forgot about what happened. Everything decided: in the same year, my friend during a walk said that he signed up in the Sambo section and invited me with him.
I did not think for long, I liked the struggle, as the camp showed, I even understood something in it, so the next day I went to the section. Probably, it caught fire with this idea because I had only neighbors from my friends, because I studied at home, and this was a chance to make dating. And I am glad that I used it. All the guys in the section were friendly and responsive.
We stood behind each other a mountain. After captures due to impaired motor skills, fingers hurt unbearably. During the crosses, I always resorted to the last, because I swollen the liver, it was impossible to run. My mother was against training precisely because of this, tried to protect from injuries and my health deterioration. Doctors said that it was contraindicated for me to engage in struggle, especially with the displacement of the cervical vertebra.
Throws through the head could lead to the fact that the vertebra would touch the spinal cord, and there will be big problems. In the best case, I would paralyze, in the worst - fatal outcome. Fortunately, nothing of the kind happened to me, I suffered, and after a few years almost everything passed. She was heard about me, because by that time I was already a winner. Therefore, she told me, they say, what a disabled person you are if you are falling healthy guys.
After the refusal, I left, told about everything of my mother, and she went to find out the circumstances. She was convinced that I was not sick. Thinking about this, we began to decide whether to achieve disability or not. Health problems were, but did not interfere with living. In addition, I wanted to join the army, get a job, and not get there with a certificate.
As a result, we decided that it would be better for me without her and did not regret it. I was already the Russian champion, I wanted to go to the world, and now I got a choice: to stay in my hometown, where they poorly financed the struggle, or try to break through in another. Of course, I chose the second. For several years I trained in Tyumen, achieved everything that I wanted, became a two -time Russian champion, the world champion, and then went to the army.
For several years I served on a contract, and when I quit, I returned to Gorno-Altaysk to engage in politics. In the year he became a deputy of the city council of the Altai Republic, then as an assistant to the head of the Altai Republic, also worked in the sports committee. My first coach Sergey Yuryevich ATKUNOV recently died. He was an honored employee of the physical culture of Russia, the honored coach of the Altai Republic and just a wonderful person.
For me, Sergey Yuryevich also became the second father. Therefore, I would like to tell him very much on behalf of all his pupils. When I first came to training with a disability of 3 groups and a diagnosis of cerebral palsy, I did not even think that I could achieve such heights. Throughout my sports career, Sergey Yuryevich was nearby, supported and helped, not only in sports, but also in life.
I am proud that fate brought me to him. Eternal memory to you, Sergey Yuryevich. I also want to thank those who trained me. They did a lot for me, made me myself.
