His friend Konstantin Listov made the singer a wonderful gift, offering to become the first performer of his song “In the Chair Park”. The Chair Park is one of the attractions of Yalta, the former estate of Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich Romanov and his wife Anastasia Nikolaevna. According to eyewitnesses, two thousand bushes of roses bloomed here all year round, which inspired many poets and artists.
One of them was Pavel Arsky, at one time a rather famous poet, moreover, a participant in the assault on the Winter Palace. The fifth place and title of laureate, which Arkady Pogodin won at the competition, was a significant success.
